Welcome to the 'Waters of the Balkans' project - Phase III page

The 'Waters of the Balkans' project - Phase III is focused on preserving the ecosystem of the 'River Zeta' Nature Park through community involvement. Our mission is the preservation of the environment, species, and habitats, improving sustainable use of natural resources, promoting and educating the local community, and fostering responsible tourism in order to improve the quality of life and build a sustainable future for all. In the previous phases of the project, we researched bioindicators - organisms that provide significant information about the condition of watercourses and the surrounding nature. Now, we have stepped into the phase of education and tourism to expand our action to other segments and actors who can contribute to ecosystem preservation.

The Waters of the Balkans project: bioindicators, education, and tourism is implemented EnvPro in cooperation with a partner global environmental organization The Nature Conservancy (TNC), with the support of the United States Forest Service United States Forest Service (USFS).
